Dynamic Rifle discipline - MPR1

Shooters may participate in the rifle stage only; handgun/shotgun section is optional. Attendees must be "holster" qualified to participate in the handgun stage.

Attendees use a "Range Card" to participate. Available for purchase at MPR1, day of the shoot.

Required equipment:

  • Firearms used must be legal to discharge at a range in Canada.
  • Semi auto and/or repeaters (internal magazine & tubular magazine fed are allowed).
    • 22LR is welcome.
    • SKS and similar platforms are permissible for use.
  • Preferably centerfire rifle and handgun.
  • Sling for rifle (one or two point).
  • Gun belt & holster for handgun (sturdy belt).
  • Mag pouches (both rifle and handgun pouches).
  • Extra magazines (both rifle and handgun; 3-5 of each are recommended).
  • Usual shoot is 100 rounds rifle and 50 rounds handgun.
  • Dump pouch.

Optional equipment:

  • Sling for rifle is highly recommended (one or two point).
  • Shotgun (for shotgun section). Trap loads (# 7½ shot) & slugs.
    • Pump or semi auto recommended.
  • Plate carriers & plates.
  • First Aid kit.
  • Bi-pod.
  • Optics & iron sights are the shooter's choice.
