Federal Firearms Buyback (Confiscation) Program

The current Liberal administration has gone ahead with their confiscation compensation program, opening the declaration period nationally for owners of the newly prohibited list of 2500 makes and models of firearms. The government says compensation will be determined primarily on a first-come, first-served basis. They state there is no guarantee that you will be compensated for your firearms, but that you legally must turn them in or have them permanently disabled, prior to the amnesty period running out.

The KGAC has reached out to the Alberta CFO's Office, and will pass along any new information from them as soon as we receive it. In the meantime, please avail yourselves of the following links for further information. Keep yourselves updated with reputable sources.
